Inspired by a view of clouds form an airplane window, the cloud chair is much more comfortable than any seat you’ll find on an airplane. The rich upholstered chair slides up and down easily to provide comfortable seating for tall and shorter people alike. The hidden underframe even allows the seat to switch places with the back support.
Designed by Lisa Widen for her final project at Beckmans College of Design in 2006 it is just as chic today. In fact, the mutable design fits nicely into both contemporary and antique décor, making it the perfect housewarming gift or addition to any home.
The Cloud chair features surprisingly modest dimensions that won’t dominate the space and moulds to the person’s body, rather than the other way around. Each cloud bubble is strategically placed on a comfortable curve to provide maximum support to the lower back.
